Life in our flat

Three of us, and French is the everyday language here. Two of us also get by in English and Spanish, but French is what you will hear in the kitchen.

Mikael (24) is finishing his computer science studies at EPFL and interning at a watchmaker in Geneva. Jiu-jitsu, chess, and salsa and bachata whenever there is a night on.
Paul (23) is training as a railway engineer in Lausanne. The outdoors, concerts, sport on the screen, and the one who turns a meal into a long evening.
Igor (22) starts a master in luxury product design at ECAL. Cooks, hikes, builds and fixes things, and spends the winter on skis.

The flat is calm. We all see our friends out rather than at home, so evenings here are quiet ones: cooking, eating together when it falls that way, then everyone to their own corner. Friendly and independent, not a flat that does everything as a group.

Someone comfortable living in French who, like us, sees the flat as a calm base rather than a social hub.

Be clear-eyed about this one: we are friendly but independent. We are not in and out of each other's rooms, and we almost always meet friends outside. If you want a flat that does everything together, we will feel too quiet for you.

What we do care about is that the place stays clean. Two of us are genuinely tidy and the third is not far behind, so dishes, kitchen and bathroom get handled straight away rather than tomorrow.

Bonus points if you cook, ski, play chess, or can hold a conversation about something other than exams.
