Delete Your Account

You can delete your Flatable account and personal data at any time. This page explains how to do it, what we erase, what we keep, and how long it takes. It applies to the Flatable mobile app (iOS and Android) and the Flatable web app.

Option 1: Delete your account in the app (fastest)

1. Open the Flatable app and sign in.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Tap Delete account.
4. Confirm. Your account is deactivated immediately and is no longer visible to other users.

Option 2: Request deletion by email

If you no longer have the app installed, email us from the address on your Flatable account:

support@flatable.ch
Subject: Delete my account

So we can verify the request, please send it from the email address you signed up with. We may ask a follow-up question to confirm it is really you before we delete anything. We respond within 30 days.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently erase the personal data associated with it, including:

• Your account and login details (email, name, password hash, sign-in identifiers)
• Your profile, photos, and any video or voice applications you recorded
• Your flat listings and their photos
• Your chat messages
• Your preferences, filters, likes, and matches
• Your device push-notification tokens

What we keep, and why

• Safety records (blocks and reports): kept where necessary to protect our community, even after an account is deleted.
• Purchase records: kept for up to 10 years to meet Swiss bookkeeping obligations. These do not include your payment card details, which never reach our servers.

How long it takes

Your account is deactivated immediately, so it stops being visible to other users right away. Your personal data is then permanently erased within 30 days. The short grace period exists so you can change your mind and so we can prevent abuse.
